Co-founded by filmmakers Alexandra Lacey, Tamsin Orion and Kathleen Dargis, we are creative colleagues working in partnership to support independent artists, educators, social activist groups, community organizations, and businesses to develop and craft compelling stories. We believe deeply in a participatory process and begin each project by asking questions, listening, and then building strong visual narratives around core messages.

"What I’m Hearing in My Head" is a portrait of Mr. Natural, a San Francisco iconoclast, who has developed a unique method for teaching music "to us common folk." Moreover, Mr. Natural’s uncanny resemblance to Robert Crumb's Mr. Natural character has influenced his life and identity. While classically trained musicians often fight his innovative style of teaching, others fight his identity as Mr. Natural. This film captures the colorful and multifaceted life Mr. Natural has led in San Francisco and the struggles he faces as a marginalized individual in a changing urban context.
